Guided by Matea - Mat, Reformer & Yoga teacher.
Matea’s lifelong journey with chronic illness led her to discover the transformative power of wellness and movement. She began practicing Pilates at the age of 18, and it became a tool for both her physical, mental and emotional well-being. Through movement, she cultivated a connection to her body that had often felt out of reach while navigating illness throughout much of her life.
In her early twenties, while attending university, Matea completed her first Pilates teacher training with the intention of deepening her personal practice and understanding of movement. What began as a path of self-discovery quickly evolved into a calling. Upon starting to teach, she discovered a profound joy in sharing practices that had supported her own healing journey and brought greater vitality, presence, and happiness into her life.
For over eight years, Matea has taught full-time in studios, trainings and retreats. She is also the co-founder of M-TT helping to educate and inspire the next generation of movement teachers.
Her teaching approach blends conscious movement with an integrative and functional perspective. Drawing from biomechanics, fascia-focused movement, and mindful awareness, she explores fluidity, spiral patterns, spacious opening, coordination, stability, and mobility to cultivate fascial elasticity, resilience, and longevity. Her classes emphasize intelligent, connected movement that supports both strength and freedom, encouraging students to move with greater ease, awareness, and confidence in their bodies.
It is not simply a certification.
